    How? By taking advantage of an exciting idea I had.

    My name is Joe Murphy. I am an agent with Keller Williams Realty. A lot of agents can help you buy or sell your home. But I can do so in a way that benefits not only you and me, but also our community. 

    My idea is a simple, totally new approach to buying and selling homes in West Michigan. Here it is:

Do Business with me, and I will donate 25% of my commission to the church or charity of your choice

    I told you it was simple. I call it "Help Me Help Our Community" and it means that when you Buy from me, List/Sell with me, or Refer someone who does business with me, I will donate 25% of my commission to whatever church or charity you, or the person who referred you to me, chooses. Esssentially, it's just you and me, giving back to our community, one home at a time.

     To keep it fair to everyone, the limit is one 25% donation per transaction, split between buyer, seller and referrer equally. But the end result is that I will give back 25% of my commission to our community.

     Where did my idea come from? I was born and raised here. I have deep roots in West Michigan and I care deeply about our communities. Like many of you, I was raised to believe in the Golden Rule, which I think is the ultimate Win-Win credo. I got to thinking about that one day and that's when the idea came to me. It may be simple, but I think that it has the potential to have a profound impact on our communities.
